Another big entry field has been received for the Saucony English Cross Country Relays to be held on the 2nd November at Berry Hill Park, Mansfield. This is the 25th year that the event has been held at this venue and the entry numbers are just short of the record entry numbers.

A total number of 1123 teams have been entered across the 10 Championship races with a mammoth 210 in the Senior Men’s event. The Senior Women are not that far behind with 145 teams. As usual the Under 13 and Under 15 age groups Girls and Boys have over 100 teams in each race entered  with 113 and 118 in the Girls’ respective age groups and 103 and 115 in the Boys’. The weakest age group is the Junior Women with 46 Teams compared to the record of 55, while the Junior Men have nearly double that number entered with 89. The under 17s have 101 Teams entered in the Men’s race and 81 in the Women’s.

This is the 8th consecutive year that over 1000 Teams have been entered and the popularity of this event over the twisty and testing but well manicured fast course at Berry Hill Park remains high.
