The English Cross Country Association is shocked and saddened to hear that two under 17 Women members of Aldershot, Farnham and District Athletic Club (AFD) have died following a motoring incident during a training session near their club HQ on Tuesday evening.

The two Lucy Pygott and Stacey Burrows had competed on Saturday at the National Cross Country Relays and Lucy was due to run for England in Spain on Sunday. Both were very keen members of AFD and very promising athletes.

All involved with the ECCA send their condolences to the families of both young ladies and this tragedy will be felt by those involved in Cross Country throughout England.
