England returned to days of old with the individual winner Zoe Gilbody and also Libby Huxley second.

The day was a little like last year, very wet that meant that the athletes reviewed their spike choice..

The race started with the team to the fore, Zoe, Libby and Kiya leading the athletes out on the first small lap. At the end of the first small lap they were still leading the way. By the end of the second small lap Zoe had moved ahead of Libby with Kiya a distant third.

The conditions made for a difficult transition to the grass from the steep climb. Zoe held on to win the race comfortably, Libby edged closer to her but remained 2nd, Kiya struggled on the uphill climb on the last lap and dropped from 3rd to 7th. Pippa struggled with the conditions and felt tired and finished 13th.

The athletes are now looking to gain selection for the World Cross Country in February 2023 Australia.
