The European Champion Clubs Cross Country Cup returns to the calendar this year, with the first event being held in Portugal next Sunday. Aldershot, Farnham & Dist AC Women won the right to represent the UK after winning the Saucony CC Relays at Mansfield and then the UK Trial at Liverpool. They take a strong and experienced team to Portugal with Niamh Brown, Emily Wicks, Louise Small and Stephanie Twell selected and in reserve Lauren Hall and Katie Hughes. The team, supported by the ECCA, are no strangers to this event and have won team medals there before.

This year a mixed Relay also takes place and AFD will be in this also with the following running: Ricky Harvie, Lilly Coward, Ellis Cross and Amy Griffiths. This team has reserves selected and if at the last minute anyone drops out then Nancy Scott or Harvey Dixon could step in.

The ECCA wishes the teams led by Mike Neighbour a successful weekend and will report results next week.
