Senior Ladies Report

Sarah Astin, Lauren McNeil, Amelia Quirk, Alex Millard

As the ladies lined up to start the race the snow started to poor down making the already tough conditions more of a challenge. The ladies had 2x1k laps and 4×1.5k laps to complete on a twisty varied course with three jumps to encounter on the 1.5k laps. They all started positively apart from Lauren who got a bit boxed as the course narrowed shortly after the start. The field quickly split with a leading group of 5 then a small gap where Amelia was chasing, followed closely by Sarah and Alex. Lauren did not panic but worked her way through the field catching Sarah and Alex by the second lap. Not a lot changed in positioning apart from Alex dropping away from Lauren and Sarah in the later laps.
They all ran strong and finished well.

Amelia finished 6th, Sarah 9th, Lauren 10th and Alex 11th.

The ladies all said they thought the conditions and course a challenge and most saying they enjoyed the race and a valuable experience.
