The course was the same as the junior men 5070m.
Innes went immediately into the lead followed by Hattie, Olivia and Sophie. At the end of the first of three laps Innes was in a clear lead from Hattie followed by Olivia and Sophie. Innes continued to stretch her lead during the second lap followed by Hattie then Sophie who had passed Olivia. By the end of the race Innes had built up quite a lead from Hattie and Sophie. Olivia to her credit dug deep to maintain her fourth place.
