The Senior Ladies team were represented by Sarah Astin, Niamh Bridson Hubbard, Rebecca Murray and Philippa Stone. The ladies delivered excellent performances on a challenging 9km multi lap course, each lap containing several tight turns, running through sand and running up and down steep banks. They all started positively and ran with the leading pack for the early laps. As the race progressed and the pace increased, the two Belgian athletes took the lead with Sarah, Niamh and Philippa on their tails and Rebecca just behind. Sarah held on well following the two Belgian athletes home for 3rd place. Philippa rallied well to finish a fine 4th place. In 5th was Niamh followed home by Rebecca in 6th.
The ladies all said that the course was challenging, and the worst part was running through the sand. Overall they were happy with their performances. They are all looking forward to competing at the National of 25 February 2023.
