Saucony English National Cross Country 2017 News

Firstly, the English Cross Country Association are delighted to announce that entry numbers for this year’s Saucony English National Cross Country Championships are very high, with 2 new records.
Total entries received: 8116.  Wollaton 2017 is 5th on the scale of entries since the 10 Championship event was conceived in 2003. This is also a 5% improvement on the entries when the Championships were last held at Wollaton in 2014.
Two long standing record entries have been improved this year with 258 in the Junior Women’s category – up 4 on the previous best in 2000, while there are 648 entered in the Under 13 Boys group, up 13 on the 2005 figure.
All other races have healthy numbers with the following: Under 13 Girls 647, Under 15 Girls 612 ( highest since 1998), Under 17 Women 380, Senior Women 1247, Under 15 Boys 579, Under 17 Men 488, Junior Men 372, Senior Men 2885.
Secondly, a reminder that Saucony are delighted to be providing athletes with your Official Race Photos from the 2017 Saucony English National Cross Country Championships for FREE so you can share the achievement with friends and families and keep your memories of your fantastic achievement of this great event.
Official photographers from Sussex Sport Photography will be taking photographs of you around the course and at the finish line to capture the action of the day. Using special Pic2Go technology you will be able to directly receive all the photos taken of you on the day, shared straight to your Facebook account. The system uses barcodes on the race bib numbers to identify and send you ALL your race images live during and shortly after the event

Finally,  the weather forecast for Nottingham on Saturday as at 12 noon on Wednesday 22nd February is Dry but overcast and dull with a temperature of 9/10 degrees. Rain is expected on Thursday but not Friday.
