The 2023 Saucony English Cross Country Championships will be held at Bolesworth Castle, near Tattenhall, Chester.
Unfortunately, the original venue of Harewood House, Leeds became unavailable due to the estate gaining a Stewardship grant which forbids events such as cross country running taking place on its land.
The North of England organisers of the 2023 Championships have as a result been searching for an appropriate site which can accommodate the many thousands of athletes and spectators who will attend. I am pleased to say agreement with the company that manages the estate has been made so the ECCA are now able to announce the new venue.
The venue is set in the countryside and will be accessed along the A41 just south of Chester. There is plenty of land available so a 6K lap can be arranged for the Senior Men’s race and viewing for all races is reported to be good.
Entries for the Championships open on the 1st November and once more Clubs will be able to enter on line.
